I promised my friend Donna I'd post a picture of my purple pedicure from my weekend in Texas. This photo does not do the color justice, however. I was going to go for classic red (always lovely), but then remembered Donna's advice to get an edgy color, just for fun. Purple is big this fall, you know.
Oooh, that looks like the color I had about a month ago. OPI something or another. I loved it. It really is one of the best purple toe colors I've ever seen.
Question---Yes, it was OPI! I never found out the name though which is a shame since I now have no way to rectify chips by myself! Once it starts to chip, it has to come off! :(
You did it! Thanks for indulging me. :) I love the color! OPI is also the best polish I've ever used and should last awhile (I can get up to three weeks on my totsies!). And the best thing about the funky color? It'll help you remember your weekend o' fun.
Hi! I'm Shannon Hyland-Tassava, or sometimes just Shannon Tassava. You can call me either one, but please pronounce it like this: TASS-uh-vuh. Accent on the first syllable. It's Finnish.
I'm a writer, clinical health psychologist, runner, and full-time stay-at-home mom to two young daughters. I live in a small southern-Minnesota college town amidst rolling fields and farmland. My life is filled with storybooks, Goldfish crackers, laundry, and love, but no longer with strollers and diapers, and never with enough sleep or hours in the day. I write about modern motherhood in all its chaos and glory.
My new book, The Essential Stay-at-Home Mom Manual: How to Have a Wondrous Life Amidst Kids and Chaos, is available now. (See image below.)

Is it Perfect Plum? I have that on now....
Rachel, I didn't get the name of the color! Though the pedicurist said it was from the "new Jewels collection" by OPI. It's different but pretty.
